How do I get there?
The Ponsonby Cruising Club is located at Westhaven, on the waterfront just below Ponsonby/Herne Bay in Auckland. It is easily accessible from Curran Street or Westhaven Drive.
There will be some parking, but we recommend taking taxis, ubers, buses, trains or bikes where possible.
How accessible is the club?
The wedding will take place in the Harbour View Lounge which is up a flight of stairs, but there is a lift for anybody that needs it. The bathrooms are located on the same floor as the ceremony and reception. Let us know if you’d like us to reserve one of the parking spaces available. There's usually parking available along Westhaven Drive or in the marina's public car parks nearby.
How do I dress?
There's no dress code — wear whatever feels right for you. Given the setting (a cruising club by the water), some guests might enjoy a nautical touch — boat shoes, linen, stripes — but it's entirely optional.
How do I gift the happy couple something?
Please don’t. We’d really just love your company on the day, nothing else! Eventually the tab will run out on the bar, so we’d love you to use your gift budget to buy yourself a lovely glass of chablis.
How is the food situation going to roll out?
There will be some finger food after the ceremony and a light supper around 8pm. So we advise not coming too starving.
How do I let you know about dietary requirements?
A google form should have come with your link to this website, but if you can’t find it just flick us an email and let us know your requirements.
How late is it likely to finish?
We have the venue until 1am so that we can enjoy the countdown at midnight together, but you’re obviously welcome to leave whenever you’d like.
How can I help?
We’re not sure! Maybe you know someone who’s got a good deal on festoons or speakers?Maybe you love to make finger food? Maybe you love hanging bunting? Flick us an email if there’s anything you’re passionate about, but really you can just turn up on the day!
How can I bring my new partner or let you know about any last minute changes with my attendance?

How will I see the Sky Tower fireworks at midnight if I’m at your wedding?!
The best view of the Sky Tower fireworks is from the smoking deck, so we recommend taking up smoking for the night.
How do I bring my kids?
In the car with you! If there’s enough interest we can try and organise a babysitter or two who can have them nearby when it gets late and you want them gone.
How cold will it get?
Tāmaki (Auckland) can get a bit brisk by the water even in summer, so bring a light jacket or a lovely pashmina.
